    Hello,

I have a single page website that is working fine with anchor links.

However, I had to create a “Privacy Policy” page which opens in a new page and the anchor links no longer work if I click on #home or #contacts for example.

I edited the links to /home#top and /home#contacts which works fine, but then the page is reloading every time we are on the homepage.

Is there a way to avoid this reload if we are already on the homepage where all the anchor links are?

    Thank you

    Hey sitesme,

Please try using the full site URL, like so:

    https://your.site/page/#anchor

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi @Rikard,

Unfortunately that didn’t work. The pages are still reloading when clicking on the anchor links.
The credentials are below, in private, if needed.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

We adjusted the link of the menu items a bit. The anchors should be working properly now. Please make sure to purge the cache before testing the page again.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

Can you please confirm what changes were made to make this work for future reference?
I had the first 2 links exactly the same as they are, and that didn’t work (or could be a cache issue?).

    Thank you

    Hi,

We used absolute URLs and place another forward slash after the last path and before the hash. The format should be as described above.

    https://your.site/page/#anchor

    Best regards,
    Ismael
