Hi, I am trying to create a very simple pop up window. I have a paragraph of text and there is a read more button below. I want a window to open up when the “read more” button is clicked. Here is a link to a site that has something like what I want to achieve.

Can you tell me is this is something that Enfold supports and if so how I would achieve this?
Thanks

If you would like to attempt to do this without a plugin, and you have a bit of coding know how, you could try to follow this post for a fairly simple solution: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/lightbox-for-mailchimp-form/#post-582439

Jordan ShannonSeptember 11, 2017 at 4:38 am #850310Hi thank you, I will try this. Is there a plug in that you know is compatible with Enfold that provides this feature? And is this something that Enfold is planing to incorporate? Modals are very common and wild used, it would make sense that the theme had this already incorporated.
Thanks
JoeUpdate: I just tried it as posted in the link you send, no go. Can you assist further?

September 11, 2017 at 5:01 am #850320Hi,
As far as plugins, I wouldn’t be 100% sure which would work perfectly to your needs as there are so many modal plugins it would basically be testing to see if works or not. I am confident that most of them would however.
As for doing it via the functions file we have a few different solutions like the one I linked to above. If you would be able to share admin and or FTP credentials in the private area, I could assist further in doing it that way.

Jordan ShannonSeptember 11, 2017 at 5:18 am #850333HI, thanks I’ll try a few. I don’t like using plugins as it adds one more area of vulnerability so the functions files would be best. The site doesn’t have FTP access as I am building it local. I do how ever have an Enfold site online. If I give you the credentials for that is it something I will be able to transfer after you help set it up?
Thanks
JoeSeptember 11, 2017 at 5:53 am #850343Hi,
Yes, since most of the code would be in functions.php and css then yes it would be transferable. It will also be helpful if they are both the same version of Enfold.

Jordan ShannonDecember 12, 2017 at 12:58 am #887625Hi, I am having a problem on my site and need a little guidance. I am using some custom links as Nav Headers and they have sub pages so its like they each have drop downs. It works fine on desktop but on mobile the drop downs don’t work at all. I set this up months ago and just realized it now. Can you take a look at the drop downs on mobile and advise? Seems to be some sort of bug with the custom links option.
Thanks
JoeDecember 12, 2017 at 11:46 am #887854Hi Joe,
Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.2) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardDecember 13, 2017 at 12:14 am #888117Hi, yes that took care of it 100% thank you! There is another problem that I’ve noticed… I see this only in Safari. If you scroll to the bottom of the the home page you will see that the resolution the blog slider is not hi-res. And what I mean by this is if you look at the site on a retina display in Safari, half the page is crisped sharp and then the blog slider is not. Look at this link on a retina display and you will see what I mean. I am also attaching a screen shot as well incase you don’t have Safari. Does this make sense to you?

screen shot in Chrome (sharp) http://bpdev.co/blog1.pngDecember 13, 2017 at 12:20 am #888123Hi,
If possible could you move this additional issue into a new topic. It is just to keep this one organized and focused on the original.
Best regards,
