Hi,
I’ve searched the forums for this, and I see that I’m not the only one who’s experienced this, but I haven’t
found a solution that works for me.The problem is my sidebar widgets all show up beneath the post / page contents rather than on the side where
one might expect to find the sidebar.I’m not using color sections or full width anything.
I’m using a child theme, but the issue exists without it.
Any ideas how I might solve this?
Thanks in advance.
May 13, 2015 at 5:57 pm #443901Hey snailian!
usually this is caused by a conflict with a plugin. Could you try to deactivate all of them to see if things are changing? afterwards you can activate them again one by one to see which one is causing it.
Best regards,
AndyMay 15, 2015 at 3:10 pm #444954Thank you for your response.
I’ve disabled all plugins and the theme formatting remained the same with the sidebar below the content.
I’m not sure what else to try. Any suggestions? It also seems that whenever I disable the theme, or several plugins, the menus get lost and get replaced with a list of every page on the site.

That worked better, thanks. I see a few suspicious plugins on your site, are we allowed to deactivate them in order to find what’s causing this issue?
Cheers!

Yes, please do whatever you’d need to do.
Thank you :]

May 23, 2015 at 8:20 am #448996Hey @snailian!
I deactivated all your plugins but I got the same results though. I’m not sure how you set that Facebook widget since I couldn’t find it in any of the widget areas? I’m asking since it seems to not display anymore after I deactivated/activated the plugins. There is definitely something messing with your CSS though, even in the backend. For instance, your scroll to top button is displaying text, buttons in the edit screen of posts/pages are just displaying as text and the hover menus in the backend does not work. Have you done any customisations to the theme at all?

RikardMay 23, 2015 at 6:40 pm #449085I found that for me it is a compatibility problem with Microthemer plugin. Can you help me to fix this?.

May 24, 2015 at 6:01 am #449196On the page you linked I can’t see anything wrong with your sidebar, the reason why some of the information on your page is not showing is because you’ve made customisations to the page. Could you open a new thread about this please?
Best regards,
RikardMay 24, 2015 at 1:18 pm #449246RESOLVED. I’have deactiverd Microthemer plugin and now sidebar is showed correctly. I send a support request to Microthemer to fix the problem. For the problem of partially hidden content i’have already open a new thread to whom you are taking care.

May 25, 2015 at 5:08 am #449333Rikard,
Thank you for taking a look for me, I appreciate it.
I’m comfortable working with PHP and CSS, and I’ve been stumped on this sidebar thing for months.
I haven’t edited the CSS or made any tweaks that might affect things. This is just the way enfold has always looked for me.
Just to test if it would be worthwhile for me to scrap the site and rebuild it, I tested a fresh download of enfold on a wordpress installation that I hadn’t touched yet, and I got the same issues. (text in scroll button, sidebar below content, etc).
This little test leads me to believe that the issue is not my wordpress installation, and it’s likely not your theme. So my issue is probably not something you can fix. But it does seem to be consistent along sites on my server. Might you have any suggestions on where else things could go wrong that I could investigate?
May 26, 2015 at 4:08 pm #450143RESOLVED: I’ve found the problem, it seems enfold didn’t like my hostgator-installed wordpress installation. I installed wordpress from scratch on my test site and enfold worked perfectly.
