I know — you have been asked this question a million times and there are a million answers.
I feel like I have tried everything and still can’t get the sidebar to show on the left (or the right or anywhere but the bottom of the page).
This is just for product pages in the woocommerce plugin.
I have disabled all other plugins.
I am not using a “color section” since the Product pages can’t use the Layout Builder anyway.
I have ensured that the default theme layout allows for sidebars (disabled the sidebars on the pages where I don’t need them).
Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.Thanks!

You didn’t do anything wrong. The codes in the documentation should work on a parent theme. For child themes, we called all filters inside an INIT HOOK as opposed to calling it directly on functions.php.

The customization above is for the product sidebars. Please create a new thread for you inquiry. Anyway, looks like you’re using color sections on your pages. Note that color section will always push the sidebar underneath them. If you want to use the color section + sidebar on one page, set the page to have no sidebar then use the Widget Area element.
