When I use the Sidebar Login widget (within my Footer 1 sidebar) the Google CAPTCHA (re-CAPTCHA) does not show, so when a person tries to log in, the response is that the CAPTCHA value is incorrect.
Is there a work around, or another sidebar login plugin I could try?

Can you post a link to your site? so we can have a look. Also temporary admin access, to check the backend.

I’ve created a test page (see private) to show you how the widget in a sidebar does not show the CAPTCHA. I’ve also created Admin privileges for you (in private as well).

Thanks for that, though the login details don’t seem to work. Could you check and verify please?

The “Administrator” role is checked or enabled in the Google Captcha > “Hide reCAPTCHA for” settings. We disabled it.

December 6, 2017 at 9:05 am #885443Hi,
I see. I thought you’re referring to the “wp-login.php” page. The plugin can only render the captcha in the following areas.
Login form (the default wp login form) Registration form (the default wp registration form) Reset password form Comments formThe login form that is generated by the “Sidebar Login” plugin is not included. Please contact the plugin author for more info.

IsmaelDecember 6, 2017 at 9:30 am #885447Okay, that’s what I feared. The widget is part of the basic WP set-up, so not so easy to send a message to the widget author for recommendations. I’ll just stick with having people login/register from the default areas instead of the widget.
Anyway, thanks for looking into that for me.
