Hi I have the need of working with singkle products pages without using the Avia Layout Builder, as I may need to periodically update stocks/prices from an external software (as well as adding new products by CSV Importer Suite). Thus I think that dealing with woocommerce-native product pages would be the best solution.
However the single product page doesn’t display the left sidebar. I have set in my child theme setup pages/posts/archives to display a left sidebar. I added in the widget “single product page” the woocommerce category list. Still the sidebar appears just beneath the product image, as it appears contained with product info within a 1310px wide div (the main content).
How can I fix the problem? I checked out previous similar questions and tried the codes suggested but didn’t work
Thanks

RikardOctober 25, 2016 at 4:57 pm #703864Hi Rikard, I still have the website on my local computer as I am working mainly on the code (easier in local environment). I hope I can migrate it online in the next couple of days, as I am waiting fir the activation of the server and domain. I will send you then a temporary login.
In the meanwhile I am trying to work on custom avia shortcodes as in this case I could create a template product page with avia layout builder, which is populated automatically by woocommerce hooks, in order to avoid any manual product update.
I’ll get back to you soon. thanks

I’m having the same problem. The single product page doesn’t display the left sidebar. I have set setup pages/posts/archives to display a left sidebar. I added in the widget “single product page” the woocommerce category list and search. Still the sidebar appears just beneath the product image…February 9, 2017 at 8:06 pm #745022Hey!
@spitsdesign Seems like you have already figured it out as left sidebar shows up totally fine on my end? :)Cheers!
YigitFebruary 9, 2017 at 8:12 pm #745031Hi Ygit, I still had the same problem on my website. I bypssed it by creating a full-size custom menu on top the main content of the single product page: I added to my function.php
However it would be nice to understand why the left sidebar stays below the main product image and nto beside the main content!
February 10, 2017 at 10:19 am #745302Hey Yigit,
No, it’s not working. I turned the sidebar off again on the productpage. Although I would like a sidebar…
Also, on iphone the categories are not shown on product-overview-page. Can this be fixed?
thank youFebruary 14, 2017 at 3:35 pm #746918Hi,
I checked your website and can see your sidebar just fine: http://i.imgur.com/MQQ6Wwe.png
So seems you could fix it. If not then please provide us a precise link where it’s not working for you.
As I see now, you’re probably talking about single product page (a precise link would have helped a lot). Try it with another WP theme. As far as I know this is the default layout by WooCommerce. So best to ask them for support about it.

AndyFebruary 14, 2017 at 4:18 pm #746950Hey Andy,
The problem does occure indeed on the single-product-page.
thank youFebruary 17, 2017 at 2:05 pm #748429Hi,
again: try it with another WP theme and let us know if you get similar results or not. Also ask WooCommerce Support about it.
Best regards,
