    Hi
    I have used

     .page-id-262 .sidebar {
    background: #DCE1CF;
}

    to colour my side bar but it does not extend to the left edge of the page. There does not seem to be a solution on the forum. Is there a way to do this?

    Hey Richard!

    I think that would be the expected behaviour since any section with a sidebar would not be full width, but please link to the page in question and we’ll have a look if there’s anything we can do.

    Hi Rikard

    Thanks for your reply. As you will see on the website I would like the buff colour of the sidebar to extend further to the left to cover the white background. This would appear only on some pages. If a sidebar is not going to work is there another way?

    Hey!

    For those specific pages you will need to set the layout to fullwidth, no sidebar, and then drag a grid row element to your page. You can add the widget area element to a 1/3 cell in the grid row and then your page content inside a 2/3 element in the grid row.

    You can then edit the cells and set a grey background for the sidebar and a white background for the page content.
