Hello,
How can I change the sidebar colors to the predefined color scheme of the main content area section?October 15, 2017 at 10:47 pm #864582Hey hallyupedia,
Please include the url to the page in question so we can take a closer look.Best regards,
MikeOctober 17, 2017 at 2:03 pm #865285Hello Mike,
I made two test posts (Post A & Post B). url is provided in the private content area. The test posts are password protected.
‘Post A’ is default Enfold setting
‘Post B’ has the color scheme that I want. It is the color scheme of the Main Content area. In order to achieve this I have to select ‘no sidebar’ in layout, add a grid, then change section color to ‘main content’, and then add the widget area. This is too much work for me to set up for every post. I would like the color scheme of the side bar to be set as the Main Content on default without all this set up.October 18, 2017 at 10:28 am #865617Hi hallyupedia,
The colors look the same to me. The only difference, that I see, is that the widgets are all the way on the right. You can save what you’ve built as a template and then make posts using that template.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaOctober 18, 2017 at 2:11 pm #865715Hello Victoria,
If you look carefully, the colors are not the same. The linked text in Post A is gray, and the linked text in Post B is mint. I’m not concerned about the alignment of the sidebar. My concern for this thread was regarding the color scheme.October 18, 2017 at 2:53 pm #865737Hi hallyupedia,
I did not login and looked at the pages, and they were blank, just the sidebar. Actually, they are still blank when I log in, so I did not see the text color. So I don’t see any mint color still.
Best regards,
VictoriaOctober 18, 2017 at 11:57 pm #865991Hi Victoria,
You need to scroll more towards the right to see the sidebar. If you look at the navigation header at the top right, you can’t see anything beyond where it says “Tips” and that’s where the sidebar is located.October 21, 2017 at 4:32 am #866922Hi,
Thank you for the info. Aside from the sidebar links, I don’t see much difference between the color scheme. Please add this code in the Quick CSS field.
.main_color .meta-color, .main_color .sidebar, .main_color .sidebar a, .main_color .minor-meta, .main_color .minor-meta a, .main_color .text-sep, .main_color blockquote, .main_color .post_nav a, .main_color .comment-text, .main_color .side-container-inner, .main_color .news-time, .main_color .pagination a, .main_color .pagination span, .main_color .tweet-text.avatar_no .tweet-time, #top .main_color .extra-mini-title, .main_color .team-member-job-title, .main_color .team-social a, .main_color #js_sort_items a, .grid-entry-excerpt, .main_color .avia-testimonial-subtitle, .main_color .commentmetadata a, .main_color .social_bookmarks a, .main_color .meta-heading>*, .main_color .slide-meta, .main_color .slide-meta a, .main_color .taglist, .main_color .taglist a, .main_color .phone-info, .main_color .phone-info a, .main_color .av-sort-by-term a, .main_color .av-magazine-time, .main_color .av-magazine .av-magazine-entry-icon, .main_color .av-catalogue-content, .main_color .wp-playlist-item-length, .html_modern-blog #top div .main_color .blog-categories a, .html_modern-blog #top div .main_color .blog-categories a:hover { color: #4ecac2; }

IsmaelOctober 23, 2017 at 10:39 am #867531Sorry, that did not work.
October 23, 2017 at 10:41 am #867532entering that code in Quick CSS actually messed up the whole alignment even after deleting the code and saving changes.
October 23, 2017 at 12:38 pm #867591Hi @Ismael,
The code you provided changed the dimensions of my website and I do not know how to change it back. My hosting service provider even restored backup up to 48 hours ago and it still messed up the layout. Why is there so much space on the left and right margin? My browser view is always set to 100% and there’s too much margin on the left and right side.I even checked Enfold>General Layout. Nothing changed there.

Can you show me the full picture. Your photos are cutting off the sidebar. I can tell because the header menu is being cut off.October 23, 2017 at 5:45 pm #867753Hi,
Sure. Here.

I need to see the color of the linked fonts because that’s the whole point of this thread.October 24, 2017 at 6:35 am #867984Hi,
The code you provided changed the dimensions of my website
The previous css modification that we provided will only change the color scheme of the sidebar links or the main_color containers. It will not affect the layout at all.

We added the css code again. It didn’t affect the layout and it changed the sidebar links color. ( see private field )

IsmaelOctober 26, 2017 at 7:53 am #869105Hi @Ismael,
Things got a lot complicated. I actually figured out how to change the colors before you entered the code. The color schemes of the sidebar can be changed in Enfold>General Styling>Main Content>Highlight Color. It was a simple solution.I didn’t feel comfortable adding the code you provided because I saw some keywords that had nothing to do with sidebar, so I tested it on another site (link in private content). I added the code to this website and it changed the margins. The left and right margins are way too big. Before adding the code, the margins were the same as the website that was originally under discussion (I’ll add the link to the private content too)

October 26, 2017 at 8:20 am #869133Hi,
Why would it affect the margin if the only css property that we changed is the “color”? The margin is different because site B’s content is inside a grid row element. Please move it inside a color section or a 1/1 column.
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 26, 2017 at 8:40 am #869138Hi @ismael,
For Site B, not all the content is inside grid row. Here are some that are not in grid element.October 28, 2017 at 3:13 pm #869913Hi,
For Site B, not all the content is inside grid row
You have to replace the grid row element with a 1/1 column. ( see private field )
