    Hi,

really dig the theme, very happy.

just one issue: when using a portfolio-grid in a 1/1-layout-element (so that it is not fullwidth) and having the title and text of the portfolio-items switched on, every text in the sidebar and footer becomes italicized… have a look here: http://www.gaboe.de/menschen/kollegium/

If you click through the site the only other page this happens on is this one: http://www.gaboe.de/lernen/unterrichtsfaecher/sport/… don’t know what’s going on here or how to fix it, would really appreciate a pointer in the right direction.

    thanks, Daniel

    Hey agentkramer!

You have some em tags in your markup which should not be there. I’ve seen plugins insert these sometimes so try deactivating all of your plugins to see if that fixes it.

    Cheers!

    Hi Elliott,

    thanks for the reply!

I deactivated all of the plugins – first one by one, then all of them together – and it didn’t fix the problem. Removing the portfolio-grid fixes it instantly, though I’d like to keep that… :-/

Can you tell me where I can see those em-tags you’re talking about? None of the plugins inserts them, so do you have another idea how they might get there?

I think I found something, though it is a little weird, but I can definitely reproduce it on this page: http://www.gaboe.de/menschen/kollegium/
Here it is: When I change the number of entries to display in the portfolio-grid to a number that’s 26 or smaller, the italicization in the sidebar and footer goes away… every number above that (including displaying all entries), and it’s italicized again.

What’s really weird about this is that on this page: http://www.gaboe.de/lernen/unterrichtsfaecher/sport/ changing the number of entries to display doesn’t change anything in regards to the italicization.

I can reliably get rid of it by only displaying the title for each portfolio-item in the grid (instead of title and text), but that’s no option since I need to display the text. I can also reliably eliminate it by getting rid of the portfolio-grid altogether, but again, not an option.

So, hoping for your help, thanks,
    Daniel

I found it… did some more digging (and thinking, really), and put it all together.

Turns out there were indeed some em-tags in the excerpt of one particular portfolio-item that weren’t closed out correctly… (and should not have been there in the first place.)

In the end, you pointing me to the em-tags did the trick, so thanks a bunch.
