Showing people or places in a smart way

On my website, I need to make a presentation of the people involved in our projects. I have been searhing the web, and found a solution that I like.

I both need the abillity to sort in difrent lists and a link (the persons name) to make a presentation.
I really would like to learn the “smart way”, so I only have to make one person ONE time, and be able to use the presentation in other areas on my webpage

When I’m done with the persons, I need to make something simmilar with places.
I have a feeling, that it would be smart, if I had a sektion like “post” but only contains “people” and another “places”, so they don’t get mixed up, with my blogsposts.

I hope you are able to guide me trough – I don’t mind some coding, but I’m a beginner and sometimes needs to get it explained from the buttom :-)
