Let’s say I have the following categories on WP site:
Main Category
– Sub Main CategoryI put up a blog post and check to have that blog post be in “sub main category” but I don’t check the “main category” box (to force the URL structure to be: example.com/main-category/sub-main-category/post-name
When I view the blog post however, Enfold is only showing the sub-category that blog post is in, with a link to that sub-category, instead of showing the main & sub category with a link to each.
How can I get it to link to both the main & sub category when I have posted the blog post with only the sub-category box selected.

July 18, 2016 at 6:57 am #661868Hi,
Could you provide us with a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?
Thanks,

You’ll see in the blog post I linked to, the word “board” is the only word above the title. That is the child category that post is in, but the parent category doesn’t appear. You’ll see the parent category appears in the “breadcrumbs”, but I need it to also appear in the linked to categories.

Is the parent category an actual category of the post? It will only render the actual category of the post.
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 21, 2016 at 5:27 pm #663487I mean, it is by virtue of the fact that it is in a child category of the parent category. The parent category wasn’t manually checked off when making the post, only the child category. That’s actually the point of my question though, because if I check off both the parent & child category, then the URL shows up as:
mysite.com/parent-cat/post-url
What I want the URL to be is:
mysite.com/parent-cat/child-cat/post-url
The only way to get the URL to show up as mysite.com/parent-cat/child-cat/post-url is to only select the child category of the parent.
I just then also need to have the parent category appear, along with the child category, in the area where it shows the categories the post is present in. There has to be a way to do this, as the parent category is appearing in the URL and in the breadcrumbs, but not above the post content.
July 25, 2016 at 2:07 pm #664625Hi,
does it work with a default WordPress theme for you? Sounds to me as a general WordPress question, instead of a theme specific one.
Best regards,
