I have been using custom code to enable the showing of videos by clicking on an image in a gallery. All I had to do was use the URL of a video as the image title in the gallery settings. This was very convenient and worked great as I could combine images and videos in the same layout.
(I could do this by altering the config-templatebuilder/aviashortcodes/gallery.php file).
Things have changed a lot with the new version of Enfold.
I have a couple of questions…
Is it still a good strategy to enable the showing of videos from the gallery? Is there a good way to do this in the new version of Enfold?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
Adrian
Hey adrianwaltonsmith,
If that worked for you, you can keep using it, just the file moved to a different folder and you can update it there.

Victoria
Thanks very much for your answer Victoria!
… in the end I decided to use a masonry gallery instead of a “simple” gallery. I noticed that masonry galleries have the standard functionality of being able show videos and/or images.
Kind regards,
Adrian
Hi Adrian,
Glad that Victoria helped you.
Each element in the Advanced layout builder has different functionalities though some of them have similar or common functionalities and style.
Thanks for using Enfold and have a great day! :)
Best regards,
Nikko
