I have a masonry showing WooCommerce products for 1 category with 5 subcategories. This repeats for 5 categories with 5 subcategories each.
So, I have 5 Masonry galleries, each one of them for a specific category.
There are title and extract options for captions in all products.
How can I show the subcategory also?
Hey peterolle,
You will need to also choose your sub-categories:
for them to show as a sorting option:
but note that you will need to ensure that your element is showing enough items to include the sub-categories, for example if you are only showing 5 items then the categories and sub-categories for those 5 items will show. Also note that the sorting will only work for the items shown, for example if on page load you are only showing 5 items, and only 1 item from the sub-category is showing, choosing that sub-category will only show the 1 item and not all items. So under Styling ▸ Pagination ▸ Post Number you should ensure that you are showing enough items.
Best regards,
Mike
Thank you Mike.
I do not need products, just categories.
1- Go to product categories and create 5 categories.
2- Add an image to each category.
3- Show a grid of categories.
No products, just the categories in a grid, gallery, masonry, etc…
Thanks.
Hi,
Please see your other thread about showing woocommerce product categories
You will need to use the shortcode instead of the masonry element.
Best regards,
Mike
