Hi,
I have just purchased the Enfold theme and I would like to customize it locally, using Microsoft WebMatrix, before publishing the final work to a public domain.
However, in order to be able to customize the theme, I understand it should be activated first.
Does this activation, on my localhost “server” (http://localhost:51196/wp-admin/themes.php), impact the later publishing of it to the online domain?
Meaning, if I activate the theme now locally, would I be able to then transfer it to my domain and activate it there, again?
P.S. I cannot customize it directly on the domain, because I don’t own the domain, it’s just a gift for someone.
Thank you,

I’m not sure I understand exactly what you mean but you should not have to activate the theme if you work locally, you can simply download it from your Themeforest account and then install it on in a WordPress install on your local server. I think what you mean by activation is getting updates from the theme option? I don’t think you will have to do that while developing your site.
Thanks,

In my (local) WordPress dashboard – Appearence – Themes I have the Enfold theme, but it requires activation / it has the Activate button. Do I have to activate it in order to customize it? And, more importantly, after customizing, can I then upload it to a public domain and re-activate it there? I purchased Enfold in the past for another domain and I was under the impression that once activated, you cannot use it again elsewhere.
Thanks,

But what happened to the default pages under the Pages menu? Last time I purchased Enfold, it came with various page templates pre-installed, like Home, About Me, Contact and many more. Now, under All Pages I only see Sample Page.
Thanks!
