Hi,
I’m trying to use the Gutemberg “shortcode” block to insert a shortcode used by a plugin.
I’ve tried in different ways but the shortcode I insert is rendered as it is (like this: “[shortcode-text]”) rather than rendering the right content.
This problem happens both in posts with the default template, and posts with a custom template. Please note that I’ve tried 3 different plugins (to exclude that there was a problem in the plugin itself). I tried to do the same in a website that doesn’t use Enfold and everything works normally, so I was wandering what is causing this issue.
Thanks.
Luca

VictoriaJanuary 17, 2020 at 8:42 pm #1175634Hi Victoria,
in the screenshot attached you can see that before the H2, there is a shortcode that doesn’t get renderd ( [toc] ).
It should be a table of contents.Kind regards

Thanks for clarifying.
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

Please switch to the Classic editor in the Theme options and see if the issue persists.

VictoriaJanuary 21, 2020 at 6:19 pm #1176877Hi,
I found out that the problem was in the way I was calling “the_content()”, inside a custom template. Both plugins I was trying requires that the post content get called just using the template tag “the_content();”.That solved the issue. Hope it can be helpful for other readers.
Thanks anyway for your support.
Have a nice day.
