    Hi, I’d like to be able to display the latest post from the news section from a blog on the homepage but within an icon list. I’ve tried adding php code and using short codes but the code/short code just gets rendered to the page. I’ve also looked to see if I can insert a widget to do this but the widget option does not appear in the flyout menu on the editor for this. Please can you help?

    I’ve managed to use the shortcode below to insert the news story.

    [av_sidebar widget_area='Homepage News']

    A couple of further questions, can I expand on this code to order the stories by date (most recent first) and can I use css to remove the thumbnail image which is being displayed?

    Was anyone able to help with this one and removing the thumbnail image? I’d also like to be able to edit the font sizes?

    Thanks Josue, I managed to make changes in the custom CSS which has worked to solve this, thanks.
