    Hi,
I want to add a shortcode as an individual link in my footer menu, which is placed in the socket of the website.
However, I don’t get it to work, especially as the menu always adds “http://” in front ot the shortcode in the according menu field.
In fact I want to trigger that shortcode from the Borlabs Cookie plugin
    [borlabs-cookie type=”btn-cookie-preference” title=”Cookie Settings” element=”link”/]
Can you help me achieving this or hint me into a direction how to achieve it? That would be just awesome.
    Thanks a lot,
    Tania

    Hey TF_Photography,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Are you trying to use the shortcode as the title of a menu item? Please provide the site URL or a link to the page where we can see the shortcode link.

What is supposed to be the output of the borlabs-cookie shortcode?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

thanks a lot and sorry for my late reply. Actually I want to add a menu item called “Cookie Settings” to the footer menu which would open the cookie box of Borland Cookies (so this box would be the output). The shortcode I posted above is the one provided by the plugin.

I was hoping to find a way how to do that using the Enfold menu builder. And somehow add that menu item which would open the cookie box so users could change or see their cookie settings from the footer menu, if needed.

I want to add this, if possible, to several websites, I put my own one intoe the private content.

I hope that leads you into the right direction, sorry about my english or lack of ability to explain in a better way ;-).

Thank you very much and best regards,
    Tania

    Hi,

    Thank you for the clarification.

Instead of using the borlabs shortcode, try to apply the class names “_brlbs-btn-cookie-preference borlabs-cookie-preference” to the menu item, and leave a hashtag in the URL field. Borlabs script should be able to recognize the menu item with that class attribute and open the cookie preference box when clicked.

This is based on the documentation.

    // https://borlabs.io/kb/opt-out-infos-setup/#

    Best regards,
    Ismael
