Share icons on pages and portfolio items?

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to add the ability to specifically select certain pages to feature the social media “Share This” buttons? I understand currently the social buttons show on blog posts but it would be great to have the ability to add the social share buttons on any page or at least portfolio items throughout the site.

I did see the response to the following topic: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/share-icons-on-pages-and-portfolio-items/#post-259925 (which is now closed) The issue is when you add the provided code to the functions.php file on a child theme (which I’m using) it shows on all the pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
