Hi,
i just updated to the newest version of Enfold, unfortunately i now have a few problems on my site: roessler-mastering.com
1) I can’t use short codes anymore, whenever i try to select one i only have 3 options (Drop Cap1, Drop Cap2, font icon)
2) After the update my rankings in google completely dropped. Before the updated all was stable but now i even can’t rank for my company name anymore… I’m using the yoast seo plugin and i double checked all settings. Nothing really changed despite the template update and no manual spam actions are showing up in google webmaster tools etc.
3) Checking the site on W3C for its CSS code i receive 182 errors, checking the html code i receive 6 errors. I actually thought the themes codes should be validated there?
i assume there must be something broken in the code causing those problems.
I hope you can help being able to use the short codes and solving the sep issue would be very important.
Regards
Manuel
October 9, 2013 at 3:14 am #172832Hi mroessler190488!
1.) You can’t use the whole shortcode list inside the Advance Layout Builder. You need to switch to default editor.
2.) The update didn’t change the structure of the theme. There are added features but the layout and SEO built remain untouch. We can’t really know for sure why the rankings drop because we are not SEO expert ourselves.
3.) Can you give us a link to the website please? We need to see the css and html invalid markup list.

thanks for your reply!
1) You’re, right i just recognized i was editing posts in the default editor and later on i was on the adv. layout builder of a page…
2) Allright in that case there is probably an other non theme related factor causing the problem. I just wanted to make sure it isn’t caused by the update.
3) My website is: http://roessler-mastering.com/ if you could check the invalid css and html markup list it would be great.
Please let me know
