Hello.
We just upgraded to Enfold V 4.6.1. This problem affects every page we have with Vimeo videos set as color section backgrounds. Home page and many others (see links below). Serious impact on our website users and our marketing. Everything was working fine with V 4.5.7. Assume this can be fixed but in the meantime, how can we roll back to 4.5.?. Vital for us that those videos appear.
ALSO: “Accept cookies” message is now appearing on every page, no matter what settings we have.
Thank you.
Cliff

Thank you for contacting us.
For testing purpose have you tried to add the video background again or from another source like youtube? Does that work for you?

VinaySeptember 7, 2019 at 1:36 pm #1135327Hello Vinay.
Thank you for your response. We totally LOVE Enfold and everyone there in Support who have helped us so well in the past, but we MUST have the same rollback opportunity that you have already provided to other Enfold users, e.g. #1133137. Please see comments in private section. Please also note that our question to Kriesi about why the Cookie opt-in message is appearing on all pages still goes unanswered. Reread our original ticket and you will find it.
Thanks,
Cliff
September 7, 2019 at 7:35 pm #1135472Hi Vinay.
Added note; This problem even applies to videos directly uploaded to the website Media Library. They will not load as color section backgrounds either. When will you give us instructions for rolling back to 4.5.7?
Thanks,
Cliff

https://webers-testseite.de/guenni/selfhosted-video-as-background/
so maybe a different thing to look for.September 8, 2019 at 6:14 pm #1135683Hi Rikard,
Thank you for the file and for the advice. Well said!
If we ftp the files, will that overwrite the settings? We use the Enfold Child theme but do not know if it will “remember” the settings we originally made when first setting up Enfold a few years ago.
Also, we can replicate the current website in a staging site while it is still in 4.6 and then give you access to see the problem for yourself. Would that be a help?

September 8, 2019 at 8:56 pm #1135723Hi,
For rolling back I would recommend using your cPanel “file manager” or FTP to rename your parent theme “enfold” folder to “enfold-new” or anything else and the upload your v4.5.7 files to “enfold” – this assumes that your parent theme folder was the proper “enfold” and not customized.
Your settings will not be lost as they are stored in the database, and you have been adding all of your customizations to your child theme – correct?Best regards,
MikeSeptember 9, 2019 at 10:03 pm #1136222Dear Mike, Vinay and everyone who may have helped…
Thank you! We’re back to paradise. Rollback worked fine. Still pleased to copy the site to a staging site with 4.6 if you’d like to see what was/is happening. Say the word.
Best,
Cliff Brody
September 10, 2019 at 10:47 am #1136455Hi Cliff,
Great, I’m glad that we could help you out, and we’re sorry for the problems. I think we are aware of the problems which needs to be fixed, so a staging site shouldn’t be necessary. But I would likely to recommend you to use it to update on first in the future like I wrote above :-)
Best regards,
Rikard -
