I have an Advanced Layer slider followed by a Colour Section with an image set as parellelax. I want to put a slight separator between them. I use the separator element set to whitespace. 50 pixels are too much. But no matter what I do, I cannot get it less than 50. I can increase to for instance 200 with no problems. But neither 20, – 20 or anything else works to decrease the whitespace.
Any idea?

MikeMay 6, 2018 at 9:14 pm #952388Hi again. Sorry for the delay. Had to make the site live in order to share it with you. The site is iwcc.dk.
I can give you the WP admin pw if there is a safe way to get it to you.

May 7, 2018 at 1:20 am #952417Hi,
Thank you for making it live so we can help. Right now it looks like the HR has a margin of -50px, and it looks as though you set this in the element, so the following code will remove the padding from the container that the HR is in.#top.home #after_layer_slider_1 .content { padding: 0px !important; }
Please change the HR to whatever height you would like.
Best regards,
MikeMay 7, 2018 at 11:47 am #952621Thank you so much for your quick reply.
I am afraid I will need a bit more clarification though.
1) What am I doing wrong in the construction of my page since this is necessary? I would rather do things right from the beginning rather than applying fixes ;-)
2) I don’t know enough to know where to apply this code.
3) Will this be a permanent fix throughout the site, or will I have to do this for each separator I include?I have put the login details in the private content in case you would like to look at my setup.
Thanks,
/PerMay 8, 2018 at 3:42 am #953027Hi,
Your not doing anything wrong, it’s just that the template adds some padding around elements by default, and this is one of those rare cases where you don’t want that. Unfortunately if you want to do the same again we will need to help with some code.
I added the code to your Enfold Theme Options > General Styling > Quick CSS field
and gave your separator 10px of height, please adjust to suit.Best regards,
