The SEO Yoast Meta title for my pages seems to be overridden by something in the theme. I’ve checked all the settings – the meta description is appearing in Google OK but the title does not. I checked with a friend of mine who uses Enfold and she has the same problem on her site. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thank you

Included – thanks
Hi jerrykarns,
The text that Google picks up is not present on the page. The title shows up correct. It could be that title is cached by Google, from before you installed the Yoast plugin and is taken from settings.

Thanks for your time – the problem is that it is not updating at all… even after months at a time. My friend has had her site with the right settings for over a year. If she changes the meta description that gets updated not the title. And it only happens on the Enfold theme she said. She tried for 2 months with a different theme and then the title got updated. When she switched back to Enfold it eventually changed into Google NOT as the Yoast SEO settings but the title default like my site. She also had a couple of clients who are in the same scenario. Could there be something overriding this somewhere?
Hi,
Did you set the title in the SEO > Title & Metas > Homepage panel? Please set the page as “Front page” in the Settings > Reading panel.
Best regards,
Ismael
Thank you!! That did the trick!
