Hi there,
I was wondering, if there’s a way to make the white standard header just somewhat transparent. Just enough to let some of the background image shine through.
Many thanks
September 8, 2014 at 4:20 pm #315180Hi MadRhino!
Have you tried using transparent glass option for the header? You can see an example here – http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/images-with-hotspots/
You can find a short introduction video here – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/intro-to-the-header-configurator/

YigitSeptember 10, 2014 at 10:45 am #316403Thank you Yigit,
I’ve seen the different header options and I’m reasonably familiar with the different settings.
Unfortunately, the glass header settings isn’t really going to work for me in this particular instance, as it’s almost completely transparent as well;thus the effect is nearly the same as working with a complete transparent header.
The issue I’m trying to deal with is design related. I’m working with big background images, which are more or less the focal point of the majority of the pages I’m working on. Below that, I’m working with the post slider to show the latest entries of my blog. The post slider has a white background.
Now, and with that being said, I would love to keep the white header (to frame the background image if you will) but just add a touch of transparency to it, to make the background image shine through. Do you understand what I mean?

Try adding this to Quick CSS:
.header_bg{ background: rgba(255,255,255,0.8) !important; }
Adjust the “0.8” as needed.
Cheers!

Any ideas?

Can you post the link to your website please?

JosueSeptember 13, 2014 at 11:11 am #318459Thanks for getting back to me.
My site isn’t live as of yet, so you would need to login to see what I mean.
Either way I have decided to change this page layout anyways and use the LayerSlider instead of a background image in a color section element. Since working with a semitransparent header isn’t possible in connection with the LayerSlider, please consider this post and request as obsolete.
Many thanks any ways.
