    1. I saw there are a lot of solution for this in other languages, like german,
    but there is no fix for Romania, the options presented on the forum wont work.

    I need to change “select options” to something else.

    2. Is there a way I can disable the product page, and just have a lightbox or “quick view” thing
    so the visitors never have to leave the main category page?

    there are maybe plugins, but I need a solution that works on mobile devices as well.

    Salut!

    Have you tried using this plugin to translate untranslated strings from WordPress backend – https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/?
    Also if you have not done it previously, please go to WooCommerce > System Status > Tools and “Force Translation Upgrade”
