Hi guys
Seem to be having various issues with the Avia Editor.
For starters it doesn’t appear to be giving me all of the previous functions, for example I can’t seem to change my font colour without going into the text editor.
Another thing which is causing me more concern is that when trying to embed media, for example PDF it doesn’t embed it when I click on Save in a post. Instead it just says please insert text here still. This seems to be inconsistent however – sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t.
website is http://www.woodlands.southampton.sch.uk
Any help appreciated.

Can you please let us know what php version you are using and what is your php memory limit?
Defining a higher memory limit in WordPress and if possible increasing the memory on the hosting server should resolve this issue. To increase the WordPress memory limit please access wp-config.php file and add the below line
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
For a detailed explanation please check this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
and you can contact your service provider to increase the memory limit.Best regards,

PHP is 5.4.
We currently have a WP memory limit of 512 set.
February 1, 2018 at 10:47 am #906156Hi,
Thanks for the info. PHP 5.6 is the minimum version recommended to run WordPress on, would be able to upgrade it?

RikardFebruary 1, 2018 at 12:56 pm #906258Hi Rikard
I am not sure to be honest. I would have to check with my web host. Looking at the dropdown on PHP versions however it only goes up to 5.5…
February 1, 2018 at 11:05 pm #906509Hi,
That is not supported.
Please ask them to update to php ver 7.0+, which is what WordPress Supports.Thank you

Apologies I was wrong about this. There was an option screen in the CPanel, which suggested that only versions 5.4 & 5.5 were available, but I logged a support call with them as you suggested and they confirmed that I was actually using php 7 which is the highest they support by defining it in the HTACCESS file.
The issue is still current – the Avia editor is much less helpful thesedays.
See screen shot – TinyMCE gives far less options. When I post text/insert a PDF and then click OK it then just goes back to saying “Click here to add your own text”, so doesn’t actually insert it.March 3, 2018 at 7:06 am #920649Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, I tried logging into your site but it seems like the details are not working anymore. Could you check and add new details please?

March 6, 2018 at 6:27 am #922063Hi,
Thanks for that, where exactly are you getting this problem? Please post a link to where we can actually see it. Also, how are you attaching the pdf document? You can see all the options in TinyMCE by clicking the keyboard icon.

Apologies, I was sure that I had responded to this. As I am unable to upload pictures here I have sent you a picture link so that you can see the reduction in options.
I no longer see Bold, Italic etc, any bullet points, insert image etc.March 17, 2018 at 7:59 am #928391Hi,
Thanks for the screenshot, though I’m not able to reproduce this when checking your About Us page for instance. On which page are you getting this result? Please link to it directly in private if you like.

RikardMarch 19, 2018 at 12:13 pm #929016Hi Rikard
It’s on all pages. Whether I am editing a page, uploading a post etc.
I just don’t have the options that I used to.
I have noticed now that in the bottom right hand corner of the text box there’s a tiny little icon that says powered by TinyMCE, but nothing happens if I click it or anything.March 20, 2018 at 6:15 am #929522Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I could see the results like in your screenshot on your home page, not sure why it’s different on different pages. It might be due to a conflict of some sort, could you try to disable all plugins to see if that is the case? I’m especially looking at this particular plugin: Page Builder by SiteOrigin, that is likely to cause conflicts with our builder.
Best regards,
Rikard -
