When I originally started using Enfold, I didn’t use a child theme, instead making my changes directly. I’d now like to convert to a child theme so I can actually use all your shiny updates, except I have no idea which files I edited. Is there anywhere I could download version 3.0.8 so I can compare the files? Thank you!
March 17, 2016 at 1:56 am #599326Hi CDuyvis!
hi thank you for the kind words. but there is no way in wordpress to know which files were manually edited. most of your edits will be in functions.php and shortcodes.js and some .php files.
However you can keep a backup of the site and create a new install for the new version with child theme and import the changes made from old one to new one.
Please feel free to check out kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/
Cheers!

March 17, 2016 at 2:04 am #599332Well, I can quite easily compare the files with WinMerge and see which files I edited that way, as well as the specific changes I made; I did the same with another WordPress site that I converted into a child theme. It’s by far the best and easiest way to track my changes. But I need the clean, unedited 3.0.8 theme in order to do so. Is there anywhere I can download that, please?
