Hello, I am a power user of Enfold and use it on many sites through the years, and Love it.

I am running into an issue where content is disappearing on a page I am building. I am not sure why it is happening. I have created a template with the page layout and it seems to delete content after a certain section.

    Details
    – I have 11 color sections with content
    – When I add more than 11 color sections the additional content is being removed
    – I have reviewed my PHP settings and don’t see anything that might cause this
    – I searched through the forums and don’t see anything recent or like this
    – I am running WP version 6.2
    – I am running Enfold v 5.2.1 with the api key for automatic updates
    – I am running the Enfold Child theme
    – When the additional content is added, black backgrounds automatically appear behind the page color sections

Can you and the team help me troubleshoot this issue?

    Thanks!

    Hey drstomp,

Thanks for the login details, and for using Enfold :-)

If there is content disappearing, then it’s likely due to open html markup or special characters. I had a look at the page in question, and this content seems to be the likely culprit:

    <h4 class="p1"><b>XX% STAT HERE</b></h4>
    <h4 class="p1"><b>XX% STAT HERE</b></h4>
    <h4 class="p1"><b>XX% STAT HERE</b></h4>

Could you try removing that, to see if that helps please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Thanks for the reply Rikard!
I will try this, but I am going to be entering stats in this area that will look similar this. The % is what I am assuming you think might be causing the problem? I will try encoding that value and see if that fixes it.

I have removed the “%” from the code and this is still happening. Is there a hard limit to the amount of content or color sections you can use on a page?

In addition, when I add content past this “More work section” It puts black background behind the content.

I have a deadline with this site this week and could use a solution.

    Thoughts?

Can I send you a screenshot?

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I tried adding a Color Section at the bottom of your layout, but that seems to be saving as it should. Maybe the problem is in the content which you are trying to add? You could share it with us, so that we can try it out.

There is no content limit, and you can upload screenshots to a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, Snipboard or similar, then link to them here.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

I have discovered what is causing this. If I add a layout element 1/1 to the page outside of a color panel then it adds black background bars to the page content. I think the work around is to just put all the sections into color panels. Is this a known limitation?

I have to apologize. It seems there are multiple things going on here. Sorry to make this messy.
    – I have been recreating the page content from a saved template and possible the template was created with a corrupted panel?
    – There is also another panel on this page “Star logo images” at bottom when I click to edit the images there is nothing available to edit.
    – The percentages which I have removed for now and will need to add back later and will encode
    – If a layout section is added outside of a color panel it makes black backgrounds behind everything on the page

I have not seen these issues happen before on shorter pages. I am reworking these on another page, but feel free to experiment in hopes that you can uncover some bugs.

Here is a link to the black bar issue screenshot when I move content from inside a color panel to the page in a 1/1 or other page element.

    Hi,

Your screenshot is not shared publicly, so we can’t access it unfortunately. The problems you are referring to are not general problems with the theme, but they can happen due to open html markup, or scripts added in code blocks for example. If you want us to check your content further, then please enable debug mode: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode. We can do it for you, if you give us permission to do so. We would need FTP access for the too, as Appearance->Editor is turned off on your installation.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
