Hi Guys
I need help urgently – very urgently!!
The website is https://gibsonandassociates.ie
The problem is that earlier this evening I updated the Theme to the latest version and this caused the text and button in ALL the top sections – on every page – to completely disappeared!!!
I tested this to see what was causing the issue. I firstly turning off all plugins in case one was causing a conflict – but no joy!
However – when I went into the actual section [the section I am referring to is the top section on every page] I could see that the section height was set at “50% of browser window height” – so I changed this to “no minimum height” and strangely enough the text cam back on – visible!
So the issue is with the section height adjustment conflicting with the text and making it disappear!
Can someone help ASAP please? I can provide links if you need them to access the backend of the site…
I am based in the UK so our time zones are different but if anyone is available let me know and I will stay up all night to get this sorted…
Cheers…
Kevin.June 4, 2020 at 12:24 am #1219264Hi Guys
Unfortunately I have to go back to the older theme as the problem is just too severe – every top section on every page has been affected and the text has disappeared. I cannot leave this for the client to see – so I have revered back to the old theme.
However, if anyone can provide any thoughts or solutions I will try them out – I will be back at my work desk in the morning at 9am GMT. I cna switch between themes ti test any solutions you can think of and to show you the problem when I switch pver to the new thewm – text will disappear from top of site!!
Hopefully someone can help.Kevin.
June 4, 2020 at 10:33 am #1219326Hi Guys
I had to remove the update completely as it also knocked the burger menu off on the mobile devices – phone and iPad.
Is there a better method of doing a complete clean-out so that ALL old code is removed as I believe there is some code lying about that is corrupting the new install of the latest Enfold Theme.
Any thoughts.
Kevin.June 5, 2020 at 7:06 am #1219681Hi Kevin,
Maybe it would be a good idea if you created a staging copy of the site, then updated there first? That way you don’t have to worry about your production site having problems, and we can see the actual problem on the site.
Best regards,
RikardJune 5, 2020 at 7:56 pm #1219915Hi Richard
Thanks – yes I am doing that at the moment and hopefully I can show what is happening. However – just a thought – if I clear out all the old code starting with the WordPress install and reinstall as much as I can – perhaps that will remove the code that is lying around and causing these issues?
