Hey,
Could you please help us resolve the following problem? we can’t get anymore the secondary menu to display on the second language. We use WPML with english as main language and italian as second one. On the italian pages, the “sub_menu” doesn’t display anymore above the header. We also set the secondary menu on a widget in the footer, but it doesn’t display either. Is it a problem with the theme or with WPML‘s menu synchronization ?
I precise that the problem occured after testing the plug-in “bwp-minify”, but it broke css and javascript, so we deactivated it.
Thank you for you help.
RegardsBenjamin

Thank you for using the theme. I hope you’re doing well today.
Did you recreate the menu on the other language? You need to create menus for different languages. Please give us a link to the website.
Best regards,

Yes, I had recreated the menus for the second language through the “WP Menu sync” of WPML. Maybe the problem comes from the plugin.

March 11, 2014 at 8:52 am #235294Hey!
Please update to Enfold 2.6 – maybe the update fixes the issue. If it doesn’t help I recommend to restore the database with a backup file. Maybe bwp-minify changed some WPML settings and now the menu sync feature doesn’t work anymore.
Best regards,
PeterMarch 11, 2014 at 5:47 pm #235704Hello Peter
Unfortunately, I can’t restore the database since the website has been too much edited since the last backup. The update didn’t fix the problem either, and actually it is worst: now the language switcher doesn’t appear anymore on the top right of the header for the secondary language (see this capture. I tried to add the switcher to the secondary menu through WPML settings, but then it is displayed twice).
WPML settings seems to be ok and the “menu sync” feature works: the main menu is translated and displayed, while the secondary menu is visible and translated in backoffice but is not displaying on the website.
Thank you for any advice.Benjamin
March 11, 2014 at 6:03 pm #235715Pardon me for meddling, but my top menu (secondary) also disappeared after updating to the latest version. All I had to do was go to my theme settings > Header and select the right settings to display the secondary menu. Important, though, is that you do this for each individual language, otherwise it will just show on your default language.
March 12, 2014 at 11:00 am #236231The settings were correct, but I’ve just tried to recreate the secondary menu manually, without using WPML “menu sync” feature, and the menu appears now correctly. So I will ask the WPML forum for support.
Thank you very much for your time, you can close the topic.Benjamin
