When I attempt to search this forum for a topic, the only server response I get is “There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.” This is happening to me no matter what browser I use. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix?

Thanks but I’m unable to reproduce this error. Can you create a video of the steps you are using to create the error?Best regards,

February 19, 2024 at 5:06 am #1434736Hi,
Any format is acceptable as long as it’s web-compatible, but .mov tends to be larger compared to other formats. Consider converting it to mp4 or uploading it to platforms like YouTube or Vimeo. You can also upload it to services like Dropbox or any other file hosting websites.

IsmaelFebruary 19, 2024 at 8:36 pm #1434812Ismael, there is very little to show but I have shared a link to the video in my Dropbox public folder. In short, I log in (if I’m not already logged in) — this is not shown — I type a word into the search field (either the upper or lower one at https://kriesi.at/support/) and press the Search button. After a few moments the error notification shows.
February 20, 2024 at 4:21 am #1434838Hi,
Thank you for the short clip.
We were able to reproduce the issue, but it only happens when searching for the keyword “overlay”. The error does not occur when using a different keyword. It’s possible that there are snippets or code in the resulting entries, either provided by us or the users, that are triggering the error. This is a little random quirk within the forum. Could you please specify the topic or any related issues you are trying to search for?
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 20, 2024 at 10:59 pm #1434950Originally it failed in the same way on the keyword “lightbox” (without the quotes). Since then I’ve tried other random searches. It failed when searching on animation, sidebar, footer, footer height, and template but the search succeeded for “element template” (without quotes) and icons, font weight, mega menu, footer menu, sidebar widget and “footer height” WITH quotes.
The best I can tell is that it sometimes helps to add another word to a search term if the word by itself failed and “footer height” was an example where it worked with quotes added.
I’ll open a ticket for the question I had about the lightbox. Thanks.

The search issue should be fixed. If you find any other keywords that are breaking the search function, please let us know.
