    Hi,

I am using the following plugin on my enfold site https://www.bannersky.com/bsk-pdf-manager/ to display pdf documents with their title.

You can see those pdf entries under the tabs “ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΣΕΙΣ” & “ΗΜΕΡΟΛΟΓΙΟ”.

The problem we are experiencing is that the default search tool of the theme (on the menu bar), does not bring resuts based on that names(of the pdf entries).

Any idea why this is happening? Isn’t that part of the content as well? And how can it be resolved?

    Thank you in advance

    Hey mike.rav,
Sorry for the late reply, I tried to login but couldn’t, but I was able to take a look
To ensure I was looking at the correct section I added a screenshot below, What I see is that you would like is the search to find the links inside of a tab section on a page created with the advanced layout builder. The links in the tab section are saved in the database as shortcode which is hard for the search to read, there is no actual page for each link. I recommend adding a excerpt to the page that contains the text of the links for the search function to read. Another option would be to use a search plugin, such as
Relevanssi or one of the many others that improve the WordPress search options.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, you were looking on the correct place.

Now if you search any of those titles that are shown in your screenshot using the default wp search box, no results will be retrieved.

That is the issue i am talking about.

Instead, if you search any other page title/content or event posts title/content, results will be shown.

Why’s that? And how do we resolve it? I installed Relevanssi, but still results are not shown at all.

    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
Thank you for confirming, please include the function here to enhance the Relevanssi plugin with the advanced layout builder elements.

Or try going to the page and at the very top of the page look for “screen options” click that to open it and look for the “excerpt” option and click it.
This will open a new box at the bottom of the page, in that box enter the plain text of all of the links, not as links.
This text box will be more searchable for workpress than the tab section and will not show on your page.

    Best regards,
    Mike
