    Hi,
since a few days my standard search engine in the upper menu isn’t clickable, writable and predictive anymore.
When you click on it, you don’t have time to enter your keywords, it has already swapped on the “Not result found page”.

Only change I’ve made (and tried to cancel without solving the pb) is that I’ve added in the sidebar a “Search widget”, and also tried in the body of a page. Since, I’ve cancelled both, but it didn’t solved the pb.

    What can I do?

    Thank you M.Enfold…

PS: I didn’t clearly understand how to make a Boolean search…but that’s another topic

    Hi Ad-Min7477!

Could you provide us with a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hey!

we can’t do much with the HTML code. We really would need to have access to the website to be able to inspect it.
    However try the following:
    1. Make sure to use newest WordPress and theme version.
    2. Deactivate all plugins, to see if one is causing this issue.
    3. Completely delete all theme files via FTP and get a fresh copy from your themeforest account.

    Hope this helps.

Can you provide us screenshots showing the problem? you can use imgur.com or public dropbox folder.

    Regards,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,
    1. WP last version : Yes, 4.1.1
    2. OK, I’ll do that
    3. Brrr. I’m afraid to lose confug elements if I do so, but I’ll try it.
Is that OK if I do it from WP UI, deactivate Theme, then delete, then re-upload? because I’m not that familiar with directly working on the FTP.

Another issue happened, may be correlated: Some people, some only, have a blackscreen on their homepage. It’s long to load, then only display the top menu, and the rest is black. While then you browse the site, the rest is OK???
We’ve been trying from different PCs, the four main browsers and different versions…

Some suggested that it could be an issue with the JQuery.validationEngine and suggested to deactivate it.
Would it be a trouble for the Enfold Theme?
Does it make sens to you? Would it be an answer. (Before I try to deactivate it after having found the way to do that in the CODEX. I do not want to bother you, except if you know a simple mean for a simple guy, aware user (I think I’m not that bad with Enfold :-) but not developer :-)

    Have a nice day.
Let me know your opinion about the JQuery.validationEngine

    Hey!

3.) Make sure to have a backup before deleting anything. We suggest to delete via FTP.

I think it should be fine with the JQuery.validationEngine, but personally I have no experience with it. We can’t give you any support belonging to 3rd party programs/plugins.

Let us know if things get better when you get your fresh copy from themeforest account.

    Cheers!
    Andy
