Please refer to this link here
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/search-not-working-in-ie8/#post-328178
Add the following css in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS
.avia-search-tooltip { box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); border:none; } .avia-search-tooltip #searchform>div { margin: 20px 0 0 0; } .header_color .avia-tt { position: absolute; margin-top: -151px; }
This will geive you a good starting poing however to make it look exactly as your screenshot will take a lot of time so we recommend hiring a freelancer.

Thank you for the reply,
This method causes some issues with the theme function and moves the image slider down when we start to type in the search bar and no results display.So can you create CSS to make the original search icon permanently open like in the screenshot attached?
The position of the search bar is not a big issue, we just need the search bar permanently open in the header section.Also when we click the search icon on our store page it does not work, but will work on other pages, please advise why?
Store url page with issue belowYour help is much appreciated.

Any chance you could like at our last message, your help is much appreciated.
ThanksNovember 2, 2016 at 3:33 pm #707160Hi,
that won’t be easily possible unfortunately. I think it’s best to use a simple WordPress plugin for this function.

Updating the theme did NOT fix the issue.
We still can NOT use the search function on our main shop page?

Please adviseNovember 8, 2016 at 7:13 am #709620Hey!
The “Advanced Woo Search” plugin conflicts with the theme’s ajax search. We disabled it.
