Can’t edit or save anything in the Enfold Child Theme Options.

Keep getting error: “Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again”

I’ve tried disabling all plugins – didn’t help
Made sure WP Memory Limit is set to 256MB – didn’t help

    What else?

    Hey bluelotus,

Try to check if there`s some plugin conflict disabling all of them.

    Best regards,

I appreciate the suggestion, John T., however if you read the post above, that is the first thing I had tried and it did not help.

    Hi,
Make sure that the wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/ folder is writable. Enfold will use this folder to create the dynamic css file (called enfold.css). It contains the styling settings which you configured on the theme option page and if Enfold can’t write or create it you won’t notice any changes even if you save the options. If that folder is already writable do recursive permissions changes on the contents.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    Thank you for your response.
    I figured it out.
This was due to a hosting environment change, which produced the error: “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404” in the Avia Layout Builder for the admin-ajax.php file.
The fix was to disable the “OWASP ModSecurity Core Rule Set V3.0” in my WHM hosting account.
It would be great if Kriesi at some point created a guide on which specific rule-sets are needed to be added to ModSecurity for OWASP ModSecurity to work without disabling it.
    For now this works.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

Great, glad you found the problem and thanks for sharing the solution. Much appreciated. We’ll try to get some documentation together for the problem, though it can be difficult with the multitude of server environments around.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
