    after making changes using the visual editor and saving, the changes do not appear and the page gets all messed up. This is the 4th time that we have to re-enstall theme and there is no way to back up, unless we back up the entire DB. Im sure we are not the first ones with this issue.

    What can we do?

    Can you please show us your web site and the page that gets messed up
    The way you are describing to us, it looks more like that there should be an issue with the content filled.
