    Hello.

    1) I just noticed that events (using events calendar) (single events view or list view) look VERY ugly in Firefox, but just fine in Safari.

    LIST VIEW for EVENTS:

    – SAFARI: Maintains three separate columns. The photo is on the right, scaled smaller and nice
    – FIREFOX: No columns. All is on top and underneath each other; the photo is enlarged and formatting just seems sloppy.

    SINGLE EVENT VIEW:

    Same as above. In Safari (or on iPad), there’s a left-column with the event information, and a right column.

    In FIREFOX, all is on top of each other — there is no left column. Again, formatting looks sloppy and completely different.

    I was previously reading this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-with-modern-tribe-the-events-calendar-woocommerce-tickets/ In order to try and fix the same problem that person was having, but I had no luck, and to the best of my knowledge, undid what I had tried. I honestly don’t know if the problem was there before I tried that or not, because I always used Safari and just happened to use Firefox and noticed the issue.

    In the “ugly” view of Firefox with no lefthand column (I’m using the Enfold / Church theme by the way), you’ll notice the “social share bar” is overlaid with the text below — I’d like to get some space in between the two…

    Thank you.

    Hey Paul,

    Sorry for the delay. Have you tried to display an event on a blank page without any other elements? This will let us know if any other element on the page is causing this issue.

    We need to take a closer look please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    Login credentials include:

    • The URL to the login screen.
    • A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
    • As well as a password for that username.
    • permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    I’m just using the out of the box setup with Enfold / Church theme. I haven’t done any modifications in regards to the page where events are posted.

    Login credentials below. Thank you.

    Hi,

    I noticed that you are using a caching plugin. Would you mind opening your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site? Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue.

    Also deactivate all of your plugins, to check which is causing this issue.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Re: caching plugin. I have flushed the caching plugins multiple times / restarted browsers / etc… Doesn’t affect anything.

    Hi!

    Can you please disable it so we can check it does not inflect at all?

    Thanks a lot

    Cheers!

    Ok. The plugin “better wordpress minify” was causing the problem. I deactivated it.

    However, now, trying to reload the single event page takes a looooooong time on my iPhone. I believe I followed Josue’s recommended settings for “better wordpress minify” … but it’s not working in my case … Are there some other suggested settings to take advantage of that caching plugin (in conjunction with the other one which I use — (WP Super Cache) or do I just need to delete it … I obviously try to make my site load as fast as possible — as it’s a bit slow, especially on the iPhone.

    Also, referring to the event details which are usually in the left column on the desktop browser, but get moved down below, I think it would make sense if the social share icons are at the bottom of the page, rather than before the event details (the details in the left column that get moved down below on a narrow screen like the iPhone or in a narrow browser window). Is there an easy fix / code for that?

    Hi,

    we can’t help you with 3rd party plugins. It would be best to ask the author about it and watch tutorials on how to use it properly.

    Try this code inside Quick CSS field:

    #tribe-events #tribe-events-footer, #tribe-events #tribe-events-header {
    height: 88px;
    }
    .av-single-event-meta-bar {
    display: initial;
    }
    .av-share-box {
    position: relative;
    top: 836px;
    }

    and adjust height and top value as needed.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Andy, tried that code but it threw off the left column and stuck it at the bottom and messed up a bit… it’s not the end of the world I guess to leave it as is.

    Hi,

    alright and yeah, might be better to leave it as it is.
    Let us know in a new ticket if you have some more questions about the theme. We’re glad to support you.

    Best regards,
    Andy
