root page as index.php

Hi, what have I done wrong… I’m creating a site on a folder in my main domain so that i can have a development link. I’m using a child theme and enfold both uploaded to themes via ftp.

My site pages all have sitename.co.uk/index.php/page-name/. why am I getting the index.php as part of the page name? Sorry I’m sure it’s something silly I’ve done!
