Hello – I want to add a sidebar to the right on the home page. Had no problems on another page (see – http://www.northpghrealtors.com/?page_id=3549) However, as you can see with this drafted homepage (http://www.northpghrealtors.com/?page_id=3546), it shows a sidebar with nothing and then only shows the sidebar all the way at the bottom of page. Can this be fixed? Thanks!

JordanMay 24, 2016 at 5:58 am #637261OK, thanks! Sending now in private section … Also have another question on the same page (let me know if I need to start a new post :) I want to use the posting slider, however, I want to only put the title below it (not the taxonomy) as is showing now. Is there somewhere in the documentation that I can change this section of code (in a child theme)? To see what I’m talking about, please scroll down on that page to FEATURED LISTINGS, the post slider is the top row and a plugin shortcode is the row below. I’m trying to get the same effect as what’s below, but using the scroll feature. Thanks very much!
May 26, 2016 at 5:45 am #638465Hi,
That is actually the default positioning of the sidebar if you have full width elements in the page such as the color section or grid row. These elements will push the sidebar underneath them. What you need to do is to disable the sidebar on the page then use the Widget Area element instead. Place it inside a column layout.

IsmaelMay 26, 2016 at 10:16 pm #638991OK, but it did show up at the top, just empty? How to I get it into that space? Thanks.
May 27, 2016 at 6:59 am #639116Hi,
Please try disabling the sidebar on the page then use the Widget Area element instead. Place it inside a column layout. This should correct the issue with the sidebar being pushed down below the full width content.

JordanMay 12, 2017 at 7:33 pm #792472The widgets in the “Displayed Everywhere” widget area are not shown on the sidebar of my homepage after I made a change on the page. I tried everything but had no success. On the other pages there is no problem.

May 14, 2017 at 5:03 am #792853Hi,
Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.0.5) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. Also make sure to clear the cache from your caching plugin.
Best regards,
RikardMay 14, 2017 at 12:59 pm #792907This what the update page shows.

So that didn’t workMay 14, 2017 at 3:47 pm #792964Hi dommelstroom,
Did you install the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/ and try to clean up with it?
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 14, 2017 at 4:04 pm #792972Plugin installed and all transients cleaned up.
Still no widgets shown on the sidebar of my homepage.May 14, 2017 at 5:13 pm #792993Hi dommelstroom,
To upgrade to 4.0.5 you need to login to your account on Themeforest, download a fresh Enfold files and upload them manually via FTP. Did you have notices for auto update before or no?
There is a div with a class sidebar_right on the page. It is empty. Have you assigned any content to it?
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 14, 2017 at 5:33 pm #793008If the upgrade to V4.0.5. is thatt important, why just send me in the Private Content area a link to the zip-file with V4.0.5.
The Right Sidebar is still not shown at all at the homepage of enfold theme
What next to do?======================

May 14, 2017 at 5:59 pm #793027Hi dommelstroom,
Thank you :)
One suspicion I have is your WordPress version.
You need to get a copy of /wp-admin/update-core.php file from WordPress 4.7.4 version and compare to the one you have.
This is core WordPress functionality and not theme specific.
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 15, 2017 at 1:55 pm #793310I compared /wp-admin/update-core.php from dommelstroom.com with anothor update-core.php from another site running 4.7.4. The files are identical.
Kind regards,
May 16, 2017 at 9:14 pm #794473Today I received an email to update Enfold.
I installed the version behind the link. But I’m still running V4.0.2Theme Updates

What to do next?May 17, 2017 at 6:18 am #794652Hi,
Please try running this plugin in order to clear WordPress transients: https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/, if that doesn’t work then you might have to update manually via FTP: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardMay 17, 2017 at 11:00 am #794769Hello Rikard,
Please read the previous actions and reactions. Your suggestions are already executed.
Please try running this plugin in order to clear WordPress transients: https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/,
> already installed and run. No effect.
if that doesn’t work then you might have to update manually via FTP: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
> Done. But update isn’t an update. I only get access to version 4.0.2. Reinstalled, but no effect. Why can’t I just get a link to version 4.05?
I think we are loosing focus on the real problem: The problem (still) is: Widgets are shown in the right side widget area on all pages, but only not on the homepage. The widget area there is visible but without any widgets.May 17, 2017 at 12:10 pm #794807Hi dommelstroom,
Current version of Enfold is 4.0.7 and it has the updated Layer Slider version. I Did you always have to update you theme manually or it worked with some other version of WordPress?
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 17, 2017 at 12:51 pm #794843Hello Victoria,
yesterday I received an email (for the first time) to upgrade my Enfold theme. But it was a link to v4.0.2. The version which I had already installed.
May 18, 2017 at 11:24 am #795798Now I run the version 4.0.7 from the Enfold Thema after a manual update. Has no effect on sidebar on homepage. The problem (still) is: Widgets are shown in the right side widget area on all pages, but not on the homepage. The widget area there is visible but without any widgets on the home page.
May 19, 2017 at 7:14 am #796374Hi,
It’s not displaying because the home page’s Layout > Sidebar Settings is set to a custom widget area called “zijbalk home”. We set it to display the default sidebar and then purge the cache.
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 19, 2017 at 3:07 pm #796606That helped.THX
