    Hi,

    Can you tell me how to make our author page look better than this: https://staging.expresswriters.com/author/expresswriters/ not sure what went wrong, but it looks horrible.

    Hey!

    I’m not sure what you want to improve on the author page but you can edit the author.php, includes > loop-author.php and includes > loop-about-author.php file if you want to change or add any modifications. If you want a sidebar on this pages, you can enable it on Enfold > Sidebar Settings > Sidebar on Archive Pages. I’ll ask Josue to take a look.

    I too would like to overhaul the profile pages. Ideally what I’d like to do is be able to use the Advanced Layout Editor on the author profile pages.

    How would I go about doing that?

    Sorry I didn’t explain myself that well. Ismael was clear that at the moment using the UI there’s no way of overriding the author page using ALB. However, I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of what would be required to write a plugin that would let me – where would I start?

    I know you can create author.php to override the output of this page – but how would I allow it to hook into ALB?

    Hey!

    I’m sorry but that particular task is beyond the scope of support. You might need to find a plugin that can modify the author page or hire a freelance developer to enable ALB for author pages which will require a major modification on the theme. Please visit Envato Studio or Werkpress for further customization. You can also vote or request the feature on our Feature Requests page.
