Hello – Our Rev Sliders are all showing blank spaces where they used to be on our site. I’m not sure if a recent WP update caused this but it doesn’t seem to be a plugin conflict from what I can tell; I tried deactivating all plugins besides Rev Slider and still get the same thing. Is it a theme conflict?

I did update our theme today because it seems the API token wasn’t saved. That didn’t actually seem to allow the theme to update, so I tried reinstalling the theme file from scratch (preserving the child theme) then reactivated the child theme. Still no luck.

I tried making a copy of the home page/hero Rev Slider and using that instead; also tried using the shortcode instead of the page editor to insert it but no luck there, either.

My theme version is now 4.7.6.3 and I have Rev Slider version 6.2.23.

I had to restore an old version of the site because our owners are upset about this one being funky, but here is a clone of the one with the issue:

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Login info is in the private section.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Victoria,

Hmm, I had only reinstalled the parent theme. I just tried reinstalling the child theme as well (then imported theme settings that I exported just prior) and although it does look like the sliders are back, the overall formatting is out of whack. Is there anything you can see on your end as to why that part would happen?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi thrivecommunities,

The slider looks and works fine now. Please check.

Could you please attach some screenshots of other issues?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

Yes the sliders do look fine now; the issue we are seeing now is with site formatting – CSS and menu items are out of whack. Would there have been settings for these things that didn’t export/import when we reinstalled the child theme?

Here’s an example of what the site looked like previously:

I attached a screenshot that highlights one of the places with the incorrect font and the menu items that were added.

If there’s somewhere I can recover those settings I will go find them in an old version of the site and apply to the live one – any advice on where to look?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

For some reason, the main menu is not set as the Enfold Child Main Menu in the Appearance > Menus > Theme Location settings, so we set it back to display the actual menu in the header.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Thanks so much for updating that! It looks like our footer is also displaying the wrong information (maybe theme defaults), some fonts are still off and the name of the child theme in the WP admin (left menu) has reverted to Enfold Child (was The Eden)? That last bit is less important obviously but just wondering if they’re all related.

Here are a few more screenshots what’s different from the previous version we had saved:

The original site looked like this for comparison:

(Please don’t mind the discoloration, I have one of those “screen darkening” apps that for some reason also affects my screenshots)

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hi thrivecommunities,

https://share.getcloudapp.com/GGurqnYK Footer widgets are missing. You can set them in Appearance > Widgets.

    Best regards,
    Victoria
