Can I use responsive images on my enfold templates? (I’d like to offer smaller images to small devices). Can it be useful to increase speed of my website? there is some good plugin?
If I analize my website with “Google PageSpeed Insights” i got a very poor score (29). Which other solution can I use?
Thank you very much.

Thank you for using Enfold.
Usually minimizing the image file sizes and number of plugins that you install will greatly improve the performance. These are the things that you can do to optimize the website speed and page load courtesy of the wordpress community:
1. Optimize all images with AI/Photoshop before uploading to server ‘save as web safe’ jpg
2. Once all images are on the website optimize with ewww optimizer plugin twice 1hr 10mins apart.
3. Install wp-smushit run once to remove jpeg extra data, then uninstall.
4. Use BWP minify plugin to minify scripts and stylesheets.
5. Install WP-Super cache, select all recommended settings.
6. Logout your website, visit every page at least once to create super cache files.
7. Join Cloudflare setup your website on their CDN, Choose options: Full CDN Optimisation save then activate purge files. once done log out.
8. Have a cup of coffee.
9. Visit your site after 20 minutes or so.
10. Don’t forget to smile.Regards,

You could try to compress your images locally before uploading them to the site, also make sure that they are sized properly in regards to what you are going to use them for.

RikardJanuary 10, 2018 at 6:35 pm #895780Hello,
I am using Enfold theme and I have a page with galery, this galery has big image and thumbnails below. PageSpeed Insights and Gtmetrix reported problem: “Serve scaled images”. Regard your advice above Ive done step 1 and 2, I think step 3 is not so important for my problem, but this problem still exist. If I open my WP-Dashboard Media and check that images I see that Ewww Image Optimizer mada 16 different sizes of separate image. But both testing tools still report the same problem. What should I do?
Best regards,

If you need to optimize enfold, you need to hire someone who can help you do it.
The installation depends on images and everything, speeding it down is not an easy case.Best regards,
