    Hi, i’ve read some older post about this and the response has been to use custom code. Has there been an update to this to make it simpler? If not, would you be able to tell me what the custom code is and where to add it?

    Thank you!

    Hey Jameel!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    This is not a default feature of the theme but there are a lot of ways to add an icon in list items. Can you please provide a screenshot of what you’re trying to do? You can try the iconlist element or use the icon shortcode.

    Cheers!

    Hi, I guess the icon list can work but is there a way to make the icons smaller? Basically, I just wanted to replace the bullets with check marks as i’ve done here: http://www.statussolar.com/buyingsolar/ but have the indenting proper. I just did this with the shortcode.

    Hey!

    You can use something like this in a code or text block:

    <ul class="icon-bullets">
    	<li>This is a sentence.</li>
    	<li>This is a sentence.</li>
    	<li>This is a sentence.</li>
    </ul>

    Add this in the Quick CSS field to change the bullets:

    ul.icon-bullets li {
    list-style: none;
    }

    ul.icon-bullets li {
    padding-left: 8px;
    }

    ul.icon-bullets li:before {
    content: '\2713';
    font-family: 'entypo-fontello';
    font-size: 23px;
    font-weight: normal;
    position: absolute;
    left: 6px;
    }

    The content: ‘\2713’; is the character code for the check mark font icon. Refer to this link for more icons: http://web.archive.org/web/20140912210715/http://entypo.com/characters/

    Cheers!

    Hej,

    Whats wrong with the character code for the check mark font icon?
    I use exactly the code above but the icon looks totally different. It’ still a check mark but a different one…

    Cheers

    Hi!

    Maybe the font was updated? Could you provide us with a link to your site so that we can have a closer look please?

    Hello,
    I am trying to do roughly the same thing as listed above (use a custom bullet list icon) using the same code suggested here. When I run the code, although the list-style is set to none it still displays the standard circle bullet instead of removing it. I can position my custom bullet so it is overprinting the standard circle, but if the browser font view is changed the background bullet is revealed. I think I’m not able to remove the bullet because the bullet list I’m trying to modify is inside an icon-list element, so my selector might need better specificity. Does anyone know how to remove the default bullet if it resides inside an icon-list text block?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Could you post a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?

    Sure. Here is the page: http://innercompasscoach.com/my-approach. On the gold star bullets if you zoom the browser view in you’ll start to see the bullets are underneath the stars. Doe this give you enough to go on for a fix?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

    .avia-icon-list .iconlist_content li {
        list-style: none;
    }

    Best regards,
