Tagged: Blog, post title
Hi,
Currently all blog posts have the same title “Blog – Latest News”. I would prefer to use the actual post type instead.
I have found this in the documentation :
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/replace-the-default-blog-latest-news-title/
It works fine but now I have a duplicate blog title, like this :
So I would like to remove the 2nd title. Of course I can add a display “none” or change single.php but I was wondering if there is a “clean” solution using functions.php.
Thanks,
Bérangère
Hey caudebert,
Hiding using CSS is probably the easiest way, could you try that out please?
Regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
Sure it works, yet I would prefer to avoid this solution because I don’t know whether search engines will like that (duplicate h1 on all blog pages, one of which with display:none).
What I would like to achieve is a very standard blog layout : breadcrumbs and post title on top of page, without using ALB.
Thanks for your help,
Bérangère
Hey!
maybe this could help you: http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-hide-post-and-page-titles-in-wordpress-single-pages/
Cheers!
Andy
Hi Andy,
Thanks for that but it is still a display:none solution.
I have found a workaround : I will select “breadcrumbs only” as title option for blog posts, and add some css styling.
I am not happy not have to do this for each post, but I find this better.
