Where is the search.php file located within the Enfold theme folders that you are recommending to edit in the link below?

Do you copy the amended file to the child theme so that it doesn’t get overwritten or just adapt the main theme file?
I am not a developer so please spell things out…

The file is here /enfold/search.php.
Yes, you need to copy it to the child theme and make your changes there.
