    I have looked at the previous posts regarding removing the date/year from the bottom of embedded blog posts and nothing has worked. I have been putting the various code into the main css file in the child theme but nothing has changed. I did cache clear after each attempt with a slightly different code but nothing.
    I’d appreciate a bit of help

    On which page do you want to hide dates? HAve you tried settings here

    Thanks Victoria but the place I want to remove the date from is from the widget as I have added this to the bottom of my homepage but the posts it is showing are old and I want this hidden. I just checked and the way my blog page is set up is also through the blog widget so the same problem is there too. Any ideas on how to edit that?

    We added the following css code in the Quick CSS field.

    time.slide-meta-time.updated {
    display: none !important;
}
