I have tried various quick css codes from similar posts and none of them seem to remove the border around my main menu items

Am I missing a backend setting for this?

Hmm – I added a new page to the menu, and it doesn’t have the border- but everything else still does?
I removed all the css I had added to try and do this – and the new page still has no border and the old ones have a border?
What the heck?
