    Hi guys,

    I have a two part question about the blog element.

    I’m currently working on this: testing.glennbedingfield.com (you can only see it if you access it with the details in the private content)

    In the homepage, there are two blog elements, one showing only ONE big one at the top, while the other is showing a few small ones below. My issue is that with the big one, because the images will never be the same size, there seems to be a grey background since it doesn’t fit correctly in the frame. Is it possible for this not to show?

    My second part is that I am also cloning this page and editing it for mobile with its url testing.glennbedingfield.com/mobileversion/. Now in this what I require is for the First blog element to show the image (but without any grey background) while the second blog element should only show title, excerpt and read more button, no image.

    Hope I provided enough information and I was clear.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Matthew,

    Sorry for the late reply!

    Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

    .avia-content-slider .slide-image {
        background: transparent!important;
    }
    .post-entry-9792 a.slide-image { display: none !important; }

    For the second code, you would need post ID’s of each post if you would like to hide featured image in more than one posts

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

    Thanks a lot for getting back to me, this worked. However, my only issue is that the pictures now are in the center and seem a bit off and I would like to align them to the left. I’ve tried adding float: left; to this but unfortunately all of the text moved with it and became jumbled up. What would be the correct code for this please?

    Hmm I see – so there is no way in never showing the featured images with the blog element?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

    1- Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

    .avia-content-slider .slide-image, .avia-content-slider .slide-image img {
        margin-left: 0!important;
    }

    2- If you would like to hide all featured images from your home page, please use following code

    .home a.slide-image { display: none !important; }

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

    Thanks a lot for helping out, the code for the 1st part worked perfectly. The client seems to still want to show the featured images for now on the desktop but not on mobile so I applied your code to just the mobile version.

    Thanks a lot for your help!

    Matt
