    Hi there,
    This is my first time creating a site so this is likely a very newbie question. The site isn’t live on our domain yet, so I have a little bit of time.

    I began with the basic enfold theme, and have built pages and content accordingly. It’s been a great experience so far! However, I made the mistake of looking at the new startup business theme and would love to see what that looks like. If I import that dummy data, will it overwrite all of the work I’ve done so far?

    Hey Sarah!

    Your pages, posts etc are saved on your database, importing new demo will not remove them. If you import new demo, it will import new pages and posts and change your theme options. You can go to Enfold theme options > Import&Export and export your current theme options and then import it if you do not like demo options

    Hi, following on from the above. I now have a child theme of Enfold. If I import a new demo will that overwrite the Child theme? Thanks

    Hi,

    It will change the settings you currently have in the theme options of the child theme yes.

    Hi,
    i use Enfold and know i will start with Woo Comerces Germanized, therefore i want to import the shop demo.
    Now there is the message: Importing the dummy data will overwrite your current Theme Option settings-i don´t wont that. Can i import the shop demo somethere else, or dio i need to import this way , and what can i do tio avoid those overwrite?

    Hi @mattismattis,

    You can refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/ and create a testing environment and import demo there. Alternatively, you can try going to Enfold theme options > Import & Export and export your current theme settings, import the demo and then import theme options you previously exported in the same tab, Enfold theme options > Import & Export.

    If you have any other questions or issues, please start a new thread under Enfold sub forum :)
