Hi,
I am trying to setup a portfolio and it may be that I just don’t understand how it works. I’ve created a parent category called My Photos. I have child categories created under it – Hiking, ROT, and New Zealand. I only have two portfolio entries and one is assigned to Hiking and the other to ROT.
Is there a way to select which child category you want to only see? I would expect to see something like:
All
Hiking
ROT
New Zealand
I would also like the ability to decide if I initially want to show All or one of the specific child categories. I want the user to be able to freely add portfolio items and categories – I’ve setup a login for him to use.
Thanks!
Nathan

HI Victoria,
None of these really do what I want. The 2nd thread adds code to functions.php which I did and it caused an error.
Thanks,
Nathan
Hi Nathan,
Well, from what Ismael is saying, it seems that the portfolio categories do have any hierarchical function in sort options.
