I REALLY like the look of your Enfold one-page Restaurant demo sample.
I would like to use it for two different areas — i.e., creating two different one-pagers.
However, I note that the menu at the top is the actual single location for Main Menu.
Was hoping then, to turn “hide header on the page” and add a fullwidth sub menu at the top of the slider, so I could have different menus on each one-pager.
This added sub menu goes either above or below the slider but does not actually layer (float) above the layer’s pretty pictures.
Tried using CSS to make the menu transparent…but since it’s not actually floating atop the slider, the menu turns gray — instead of transparently showing the slider pictures through the menu.
Any idea how I can do this so I can have two separate menus for two separate pages?
Thanks in advance for any ideas!
Marvelous theme!

Can you post the link to the page where you are trying this please?

JosueNovember 30, 2014 at 8:43 pm #360395Josue, I am sorry. I am getting to know your Enfold first on Localhost. So unfortunately I won’t be able to send you a url.
But I thank you very much for your suggestion.
To see what I did in its barest form, edit the One-Pager (FrontPage) from the Restaurant Demo.
In the far-right-hand column of “Layout,” change “Header visibility and Transparency” from ‘Transparent Header’ to ‘Hide Header on This Page.’
Above the full screen slider, drag Fullwidth Sub Menu (“FWSM”) fron Avia Layout Builder’s “Content Elements” tab.
I set the menu on that to the same Main_Menu that came with the demo.
I would like this sub menu to have same appearance as it had with the transparent header.
However, it appears to me (I would really LIKE to be proved mistaken!) that the fullwidth sub menu is ABOVE the slider, not floating on layer on top of slider, so possibly CSS cannot help? (I have rudimentary understanding of CSS.)
I would ultimately like to put a specific (non-Main_Menu) menu in the FWSM
so I can use this concept on multiple long one-pagers on specific subjects…with different menus over sliders.Possibly I can dynamically change menu used in this location based on page — that way I could
use the “transparent header” bit as it is in Demo?Otherwise the IDEAL way would be to be able to use the FWSM and put in
a particular menu on a particular page. Thanks again for your interest!
I have set up debug on the Localhost, so could send you the actual shortcodes from
the bottom, but — really — all I did was what I cited above.Do you have better way of accomplishing this task that you might suggest?
Thanks in advance.
December 1, 2014 at 6:18 am #360619Hi!
Thank you for the info.
You can still use the main menu then add this plugin to control the menu visibility on different pages:
